Draft for review. This policy is a working draft written to the shape Indian e-commerce and payment-gateway rules expect. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Have it checked, and fill in the registered entity name, GSTIN and grievance officer, before the site accepts money.
What we collect
Only what an order or an appointment needs:
- Name, telephone, email and delivery address
- Body measurements and posture notes, where you commission a garment
- Order history and, for schools, the size set and the contact at the school
- GSTIN, where you ask for a tax invoice
We do not collect payment card details. When a payment gateway is appointed, card data will go to the gateway and never touch this site.
Measurements
Measurements are personal. We keep them because a paper pattern is worth nothing without them, and because clients come back after years and expect us to still have it. They are kept in the pattern room and in our order records, and are never shared.
Why we hold it
To make and deliver what you ordered, to answer you when you telephone, to keep tax records that Indian law requires, and — only if you have asked — to tell you when cloth arrives.
How long
Order and tax records for eight years, as Indian tax law requires. Patterns and measurements indefinitely, because that is the point of them — ask us and we will destroy yours. Newsletter details until you unsubscribe.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with couriers, our accountant, and the payment gateway once appointed — and only what each of them needs.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. The uniform bag is kept in your own browser using local storage, not on our servers, and is cleared when you clear your browser data.
Your rights
Ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the address on the contact page or telephone the atelier. We will respond within one month.
Questions
Ask us directly
We would rather explain it on the telephone than have you read it twice.
