Questions
Before your first visit
Five to six weeks for a suit, across four visits. Ceremonial commissions run six to eight weeks because of the hand-work in the closures. If you have a fixed date, tell us at the consultation — we will either commit to it in writing or tell you honestly that we cannot.
No. We will happily cut cloth you bring, though we will inspect it first and tell you if we think it will not hold up to what you want made from it. Making charges are the same either way.
Nothing. An hour in the fabric rooms with tea, and a conversation about what you need. There is no obligation to commission anything, and no deposit is taken until cloth is cut.
Usually, yes — bring the photograph. We will tell you plainly which parts of it come from the cut and which come from the model's posture, so that you know what you are actually going to receive.
We do, from ₹2,200. We also re-cut and re-line inherited garments — bring it in and we will quote on sight. Some of the most satisfying work in the house is reviving a coat someone's father wore.
Your paper pattern stays in our archive for life. Come back whenever you like and we will take in or let out what has moved, at cost. We keep an inlay of generous seam allowance in every garment precisely for this.
